Is Silkscreen free to use?

Yes! Silkscreen offers a generous free tier that includes unlimited folders, local organization on your device, and basic sync features. Premium plans are available for power users who need advanced features like OCR text search, priority sync, and cloud backup.

Does Silkscreen work offline?

Silkscreen stores all your screenshots locally on your device, so you can browse and organize them without an internet connection. Sync features between devices require both devices to be on the same local network.

How does the iPhone to Mac sync work?

When you take a screenshot on your iPhone, you can choose to "Send to Mac" from the quick action menu. If your Mac is running Silkscreen and connected to the same Wi-Fi network, the screenshot transfers instantly via your local network - it never goes through our servers.

Are my screenshots uploaded to the cloud?

No. Silkscreen is a local-first app. Your screenshots stay on your devices and are synced directly between them over your local network. We never upload, store, or have access to your screenshots. Your privacy is our priority.

Can I sync with multiple Macs?

Yes! You can pair your iPhone with multiple Macs. When sending a screenshot, you can choose which Mac to send it to, or send to all paired devices at once.

What happens to my existing screenshots?

Silkscreen can import your existing screenshots from your Photos library. During setup, you can choose to import all screenshots or just start fresh with new ones. Imported screenshots appear in an "Unsorted" folder, ready to be organized.

Does organizing in Silkscreen affect my Photos library?

On iPhone, Silkscreen works with a copy of your screenshots, so your Photos library remains unchanged. On Mac, you can choose to either work with copies or organize original files directly. This is configurable in Preferences.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from the app's Settings menu. This removes your account data from our servers. Your local screenshots and folders remain on your devices - Silkscreen never deletes your actual files.

Which devices are supported?

Silkscreen is available for iPhone (iOS 15 or later) and Mac (macOS 12 Monterey or later). iPad support is coming soon. We're also exploring Android and Windows versions for the future.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

We love hearing from our users! You can report bugs or suggest features by emailing [email protected] or through the "Send Feedback" option in the app's Settings menu. We read every message.
